Middle Earth Was in the BMP album premier live chat today and Skovaegnger was in the chat. Couple take-aways, this is not dsbm, he agreed with the notion that it could be labeled meloncholic, and if I recall correctly the photo on the album cover is from inside a burial mound. For me this is atmospheric set at 11...there is an 11 right ?

Ved Lysets Ophør (eng: At the end of light) is a reflection and outlet of personal thoughts throughout a dark and disorderly time of my life spanning many years, an impression which has been reflected musically to create an immersion into this mindfog of dismal patterns and hypnotic disharmonies.. After a dormant period where I dedicated myself to other projects, the pandemic offered me some time to finally return and materialize the album with the assistance of Saxtorph (Afsind, Saxtorph, ex-Genfærd) and Ahnstrøm (Afsind, Cause of death: Suicide). The result is an oppressive and bleak trip to the bridge between life and death.

Ved Lysets Ophør is best enjoyed in solitude.

I saw these gents open the evening for DWeF in Trier some weeks ago. The vocalist seemed terribly shy between songs and then went full-on beastmode on the vocals again; him overcoming this was one of the most metal things I have ever seen. Vi Overlevde is, excuse this, bizarrely good. Not too posty, but still with a remarkable edge and a pretty unique feel to it. Maybe I'm still carried away by the live performance, but alas! This is great. Ensomhet is... beyond words. Kom til meg! David Fischer
